Temperatures are set to rise by more than 10C in some areas of France this weekend following the wintry mid-week weather caused by Storm Caetano.
However, rainfall is expected in parts of the country in both the north and the Mediterranean over the course of the weekend.
Friday November 22
The effects of Storm Caetano will still be strong on Friday, with dozens of departments continuing to face heightened weather alerts over snowy and icy road conditions.
Further snowfall is not expected, but rain in the north and south-west is expected in the morning.
Cold temperatures dominate in the north and east where temperatures are around 4C lower than average for the season. Highs of 3C are expected around Strasbourg.
No rainfall is predicted, although coastal Normandy may be hit by stormy weather passing through the English Channel.
In the south, temperatures of 15C are forecast around Nice, however extreme winds will affect Corsica, potentially reaching 150 km/h off the coast.

Saturday November 23
Saturday will see sunny skies across most of France, although rainfall is likely along the northern coastline, and in the evening around the southern Hérault department.
A warm front will begin pushing in from the Atlantic, however on Saturday only the western coastline will be impacted and see the mercury rise.
Highs of 17C are predicted in the south-west and Brittany coastlines, although in the centre and east of France piercing cold will dominate.
Temperatures east and north of Paris are unlikely to reach above 5C.
Some weather warnings may remain in place, but these are likely to change over the course of Friday and Saturday.
There will be risks of avalanches and flooding in mountainous areas, as snow begins to melt.

Sunday November 24
A significant increase in temperature will come on Sunday for the majority of France, as temperatures jump by 10C or more in the north, centre, and east.
Highs of 17C are likely in Strasbourg, compared to 3C two days prior.
In the south-west, temperatures will break 20C, potentially reaching up to 22C in the Pays-Basque. The Pyrénées foothills may even see highs of 25C.
These temperatures are significantly higher than average for the final week of November.
Rainfall is also expected along the Mediterranean coast, from Nice to Montpellier, although the downpour should not be heavy.
Early forecasts for next week predict rain across essentially all of the country, particularly in the north and centre, which will last from Monday (November 25) to at least Wednesday (November 27).
